Real Wedding : a vineyard wedding with vows inside of a cave

Jennifer and Christopher's wedding was absolutely gorgeous and took place inside a dark cave beneath a vineyard. Gerald Carvalho Photography captured the spectacular event even though the lighting inside the cave was super challenging. And, I have to say, I love the lighting effects. Jennifer describes her wedding perfectly {which included bits and pieces from things she liked}, "Overall I just wanted it to appear 'classy' and 'sophisticated' with a touch of the old '40's look (hence the hair), but simple."

The color scheme fell into place after the purple and yellow dresses from the Dessy Group were chosen. And, the floral arrangements are just beautiful. Jennifer isn't a flower person in that she's not sure what arrangement goes with what or the names of flowers, etc. So, one of her bridesmaids that does flowers on the side took Jennifer to the Flower Mart to show her the different types of flowers. Jennifer knew she was looking for something cheap but with a vibrant color. Since kale had purple and green in them naturally, she decided to go with them. I LOVE THIS!!!!! So unique and looks amazing in the bouquets.

For Jennifer, the food and entertainment is what makes a wedding memorable. She wanted the beauty of the venue to really stand out. Jennifer explains it best, "So i tried to stay away from all the little things - like huge decorating ideas, huge floral arrangements, little knick knacks here and there, fancy linens and table set ups, etc. Which is why I didn't put anything at all in the wine cave. The way I see it, the only one that really pays attention to all that is the bride - not the guests - so i opted out of all that (nor did we have the budget to do so)."

This is so special, the first dance was completely choreographed by the bride herself - and you can see a video of the dance right here.

Thank you Gerald for sharing a most spectacular wedding with my readers today. You can see more from the wedding of Jennifer and Christopher here. And, to see more from Gerald Carvalho Photography, please visit his web site and blog.
